The Danish version of FearFighter™ will be launched at the annual MEDICAL DAYS conference in Copenhagen on 14th-18th November 2011. Medical Days is established as the strongest overall continuing education for practitioners.
This could provide the opportunity for making treatment available to the many patients suffering from anxiety and phobia who do not receive treatment today. About 300,000 people in Denmark suffer from anxiety and phobia. Treatment, using FearFighter™, can now be accessible and affordable for very large groups of patients.
FACE YOUR FEARS WEEK 25th September – 2nd October 2011
Anxiety UK know that many people with anxiety struggle to make people understand what it is like to live with anxiety. This event will give participants a chance to experience a tiny percentage of the fear that many live with on a daily basis. 1 in 6 UK adults lives with anxiety and an estimated 37% of UK adults are more anxious than they used to be. Despite the high numbers of people affected by it, anxiety remains something of a ‘taboo’ subject, with many sufferers living in fear of people knowing of their anxiety. We also want Face Your Fears Week to be a catalyst to encourage people to raise money for individuals who struggle with anxiety disorders, where they have to face their fears every day.
CCBT Limited are proud to be the main sponsor of the event and will also be taking part in the Abseil Challenge.
We wil also be taking part at the launch at Anxiety UK’s Manchester Offices on Monday the 25th. Service users who have overcome their agoraphobia and other conditions using FearFighter™ will be present and we look forward to an important day focussing on recognising the needs of Anxiety UK’s members as well as the thousands of silent sufferers who they represent.

We are very excited and pleased to be part of this initiative which happens just at the time when funding to support charities like Anxiety UK are becoming harder and harder to find. We need to find the time, resource and funds to support the great work being done by the Charity who are an essential part of the national community and an important advocate for those whose conditions, in many cases, prevent them from having a voice. We are all looking forward to a successful and positive day.
Please go to the Anxiety UK site and donate. You never know when you may need their help!
Signing off,
Nick Niziolomski.

FearFighter is a method for delivering CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) on a computer (via the internet). Research has shown that FearFighter improves anxious or phobic patients as much as face to face therapy. FearFighter is also more readily available and more cost and time efficient.
FearFighter is an online therapy and can be accessed from home, the office or even the local library. This convenience and confidentiality provides a solution for many sufferers who may be concerned about the stigma associated with seeing a therapist. Taking only three months to complete, with minimal telephone support through the process, FearFighter provides clinically proven improvements for sufferers with close to zero computer skills.
Approved by The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and included by the NHS in the guidance for the treatment of Anxiety and Phobia, FearFighter is accessed by referral from your GP, Health Worker or in some cases directly via self referral.
